Why Woodstock Pelvic Health?
Whole Body Approach
This is key because if we only evaluate the pelvic floor in isolation and not the rest of the body, we might miss the underlying contributing factors to your symptoms. Often, the pelvic floor is the “victim” of other dysfunctions in the body. With our strong background in orthopedics, we will be doing a complete musculoskeletal evaluation as well as a specific pelvic floor evaluation to find the WHY behind your problem.
Full-Length Sessions
Full one-hour hands-on sessions. Why is this important? Because pelvic health conditions are complicated! We believe it requires a full hour to address all the contributing factors to your problem. We do not utilize aides to watch you exercise or hook you up to machines and leave the room.

Meet Our Therapists
Dr. Judy Rossi, PT, DPT, PHC
Certified Pelvic Health Specialist
Judy Rossi graduated from physical therapy school at California State University at Long Beach. She later received her doctorate in physical therapy and her pelvic health certification through Evidence in Motion. Judy began her journey in pelvic health after spending most of her career as an orthopedic physical therapist, most recently as co-owner of a large outpatient orthopedic practice in Cherokee County before selling it in 2019. It was her own physical challenges that were solved through pelvic health physical therapy that motivated her to specialize in pelvic health herself. While this occurred later in her career, she has truly found her passion in this realm. Opening her new business, Woodstock Pelvic Health, will allow her to provide compassionate care to those with pelvic health challenges. She believes in a holistic approach to healing, seeing the pelvic floor as just one of the parts of the whole body, not treated in isolation. She enjoys spending time with her husband Matt and family. She has a passion for exercise, health and wellness, travel, reading, hiking and considers herself a lifelong learner. Judy enjoys working closely with other practitioners of healing to provide patients with a team approach as needed.
Jenny Thompson, PT
Pelvic Floor Therapist
Jenny Thompson graduated from physical therapy school at GA State University in 1997. She has spent most of her career as an orthopedic physical therapist in both the Canton and Jasper area. She believes in treating the body as a whole and has extensive training in myofascial release. Listening to her patients over the many years of working as a physical therapist discuss pelvis related issues encouraged her to specialize in pelvic health. Jenny now has a passion for the field of women’s health and demonstrates compassion and empathy when treating her patients. Her main goal as a physical therapist is to empower her patients while treating issues related to pelvic health.
She enjoys spending time with her husband Jet as well as her five active teenagers. When not treating patients she is often watching her children play multiple sports, attending church with her family, hiking, reading, teaching boxing classes for participates with Parkinson’s and practicing yoga. Jenny enjoys traveling and hopes to visit new places in the coming years. Being a native Cherokee County resident and coming from a large local family she feels blessed to be able to treat patients in this area and work closely with other practitioners of healing to give her patients the best care possible. Jenny believes the most important component of healing is a therapeutic touch and working with patients with pelvic health challenges allows her to be able to help many patients feel their best and enjoy their life to the fullest.
Stacy Murphy, PT, DPT
Pelvic Floor Therapist
Stacy found her passion for pelvic health after overcoming her own postpartum challenges. Through her own pelvic health struggles and through hearing the health challenges of other women she recognized that there is a need to improve care in this area. She recognizes the importance of optimizing pelvic health to enable patients to continue to be active and healthy throughout their life. Stacy studied at Syracuse University and received her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science in 2012, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Stacy earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2016.
She has received training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and through other advanced coursework. She treats all women with pelvic health issues but especially enjoys treating pregnant and postpartum women and she is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She believes in a patient-centered, holistic, and individualized approach to treating clients. Her goal is to provide high quality, compassionate care to return patients to the activities they love without pain, leakage, or other unwanted symptoms. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and daughters Adalynn and Reagan. She enjoys running, lifting weights, hiking, taking a yoga class, or watching sports. At home she is either reading a new book or listening to a podcast.
Manual Therapy
Techniques to improve mobility, strength and function in muscles and joints. These techniques include treatment of muscles outside the pelvis as well as treatment of muscles inside the pelvis utilizing intravaginal and/or intrarectal techniques.
Services
Therapeutic Exercise
A specific, individualized exercise program to address deficits in strength, mobility, and core muscle control. Exercises are also prescribed to aid in reducing tension and change chronic holding patterns.
Trigger Point Dry Needling
This is a technique utilizing a sterile solid filament needle inserted directly into a myofascial trigger point (commonly referred to as a “knot” in the muscle). The reduction in pain is the result of both mechanical and biochemical changes occurring. Judy is specifically trained in pelvic floor dry needling.
Post-Partum Return to Run Program
We have a passion for helping women return to running in a safe, controlled manner. Often, returning to running too soon following delivery, without professional guidance, can result in unwanted symptoms.
Soft Wave TRT
SoftWave TRT (Tissue Regeneration Therapy) is a patented non-invasive treatment that utilizes high-energy sound waves to target injured or degenerated areas of the body. This therapy aims to promote natural healing at the cellular level by increasing blood flow and activating the body's own healing processes. Softwave can also be used to treat interstitial cystitis (bladder pain syndrome), pelvic pain, urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction.
